In 1997, the Christian Education Committee responded to a survey
of the members of St. Michael, by providing opportunities for
Bible Study and Adult Church School. There is a great need for
spiritual enrichment among our members. This committee is in charge
of the activities in the church that will assist the members in
the spiritual enrichment
The Hospitality Committee provides an outreach ministry within
the church by overseeing the preparation of fellowship hour, serving
the bereaved families, and special dinners. The committee is divided
into three areas:
- Fellowship
Oversees the fellowship after service each Sunday. - Bereaved Families
- Special Dinners
This committee is responsible for preparation when dinners
are required at special events such as
St. Michael & All Angels, Easter, Christmas, and New Year's
Eve.
The New Members Committee is responsible for welcoming and recognizing
new members to the church. The committee sponsors a formal welcoming
service for all new members at least once a year. This committee
will become active again during 2002.
The Outreach Committee is responsible for providing leadership
for outreach programs in the church and community. Programs within
the church include Spring and Fall cleanup. The Habitat for Humanity
Project is one of the community outreach programs. This committee
needs a chairperson and volunteers.
This committee is responsible for the Stewardship Drive each year. This committee informs
the parish about the resource needs of the church. Activities include preparation of letters
to parishioners and sponsoring worship services on Christian giving. Volunteer are needed for 2002
